3 years ago today, I married this guy:
Twu wuv right there.
We've had a lot of adventures together:
Climbing in the Gunks
Canoeing in Maine |
Looking cute in the woods |
Got a furry family |
Road tripped to Newfoundland |
And a few more.
Then, we got married:
God it was a great wedding. I have absolutely nothing I would change about it.
The best part, though, was the family.
Can you tell we're related? |
Finally getting to dance to their first dance song at a wedding |
First time all the siblings were in one place in over 12 years! |
Sometimes family chooses you |
Beautiful mommas! |
Daddy daughter walk |
Everyone says it takes a village to raise a kid. I'm sure that's true (though I don't intend to find out anytime soon), but no one really mentions the fact that the same village helps raise a marriage.
The last year and a half (living apart) has been pretty rough. With the love and support of family and friends rooting us on from the sidelines though, even the worst days have been tolerable. It seems like there's always someone there to send the perfectly timed text of encouragement or the well-placed card of support. Since day one, it's felt like we've been walking the Boston Marathon together, complete with crowds cheering us on.
Anyway. All that to say, thank you. To every person who's wished us well and hoped for our happiness, thank you. I really can't express enough how much it means to know that we have so many people rooting us on. It's so much easier to stay in love when you're so completely surrounded by it.
