First Thursday Class - Down

How many of you moved when you were kids? Do you remember that first day of school when you walk into class and everyone knows everyone else and you're just sort of standing there awkwardly in the corner?

This is pretty much how I felt walking into class this morning:

Soul-crushing, heart-pounding, cold-sweat-inducing social anxiety took over and I tried to make light of it as best I could...by saying "hey guys, I'm taking over this class for Carolyn. Bear with me while I get used to this setup...I'm not really a morning person."

Silence. Then one woman said, "Well this isn't really the best job for you then is it?"

Yikes.

But, I survived. The room is really different...no headphones required, which is cool since now I get to hear the music the same as everyone else. But it also means I can hear when people are having a conversation in the middle of class...for the whole class. Looks like next week is going to be intervals, ladies.

This week's profile was Power Hills again (love that one) with a pop-heavy playlist. I think that's enough of that. 2 Glee songs should not be on the same list. Oops. Way to make a first impression, huh? *sigh*

Anyway, that's what's up in my world. Classes are going well (so far all A's!) and work is busy. The critters are nuts, but that's another story for another day.

What's going on in your world? Tell me something you think is too mundane to put in your own blog, but you still want to share.

  1. I'm glad classes are going well!

I was in the same school for ALL of my education. It was a small school, too. I knew everyone WAY too well by the time we graduated. Ug.

Something mundane: My mom made me dinner last night, and it was DELICIOUS. I wish my mom lived nearby.

Something mundane: I never thought I would survive primary school and by that I mean actually be alive at the end of it ..... but I did wooohoooo.

  4. Great job on your first class! It will get easier. Some people won't like your music or you...who cares! Someone else will love you! Just be you and you can't go wrong. They will see your passion for fitness.
